I'd love to try it... as soon as it's compatible with Windows Vista.

I thought getting the latest Windows program was good... but nothing is compatible with it (I had to buy a new printer, webcam, etc.), and half of the programs I need for my business are not compatible with it. Thanks Microsoft! LOL!

I LOVE CakeBoss!!!!!!!! I have just a small home business that is slowly but surely growing and I couldn't live without it. It is exactly what I was writing down on paper and having to figure on paper all in a nice computer package. It makes my hectic life so much easier. There isn't anyway to forget a cake with the calendar!

I absolutely love Cake Boss! I put together my first wedding cake order on it and I now can see exactly what I need in order to make this cake and make a profit on it!

I saw on the video that you need to put in an hourly rate for yourself. What are you all putting there for yourself?

I use $15 for myself. I think it's the minimum any skilled person should be making.

I just purchased it and loaded it.. but I've only had time to poke around at it.

It looks fantastic! Very very user friendly!

This weekend I'll start adding my customers and upcoming orders!

(AND the absolute BEST part is the customer service... I emailed a question - on launch day, no less - and had a response within minutes.. can't beat that!!)

How does it compare to Bakery Buddy? I've been using bakery buddy and am having a few issues....

Will I have to enter all my recipes in to Cake Boss in order to try it? That took me for freakin' EVER!

Karateka - you do not have to have your recipes entered to be able to benefit from CakeBoss, but the Price Calculator is based on your recipes, so to use it to its full potential I would recommend entering at least a couple of your most frequently used recipes.

We do offer a 30 day money back guarantee, so you can sign up with no risk -- if it doesn't work out for you, we'll refund your money no questions asked. icon_smile.gif

If recipes are already entered how hard would it be to add something that would calculate the nutritional information?

Currently, I'm baking for people with special dietary needs (allergies, diabetes, etc.) and this info is really important to me. I'm looking at other programs, but I'd rather not have to enter all that information (my recipes) twice. icon_sad.gif

CakeBoss is $60/year or $5.50 if you would like to pay in monthly installments.

CakeCentral members receive a special 20% discount on their first year, but you must click and buy through this link to receive the discount! icon_smile.gif
www.cakeboss.com/cakecentraloffer.aspx

The Installation CD is available for $10. This price is in addition to the subscription. Generally the only people who would need to buy the CD are folks with dialup who have difficulty downloading a file this size.

I am happy to answer any other questions you have. icon_biggrin.gif

i purchased the cake boss software and i like it very much. if you put in the correct information it will keep exact count of every penny in expense and show you exactly what you are making per cake. it also stores all the pertinent information on the customer, dates, times and even has a place for notes on each job. for 89.10 its a pretty good program.

What about foreign currencies? Is the program set up in dollars or is it flexible?

Thanks!

CakeBoss uses whatever currency you have set in your Control Panel (Regional and Language Settings). We have users all over the world using it with many different currencies. icon_smile.gif
