Has anyone heard of TALA icing nozzles/tips? Are they good/bad/ugly?
a lady in my area is selling a bag of nozzles for R40 which is very cheap and she says most of them are TALA nozzles. ive never heard of that name maybe it was before my time.
Google is your friend... it's an icing pen/syringe set.

If the tubes can be used with a bag & coupler, anything over 4 of them would be well worth R40 (about $5.50 USD).
If they must be used with the syringe, well, I'm not a fan of that method of piping, so I wouldn't consider that a deal.

The kit comes with 6 nozzles.

Tala tips don't only have to be used with the metal syringe, they come with a metal coupler that you use similar to the wilton plastic ones. I learnt all I had to know on Tala tips (which I inherited from my Mum & from her Mum), they are fantastic and I guess they were to people of the commonwealth what Wilton is to people in the states.
I think Tala tips are probably a much better quality tip than Wilton. I have both, and the Tala tips could take the Wilton tips in a bar fight any day of the week in terms of build quality. Wilton ones might as well be made of paper when compared to Tala.
The only thing I'm finding frustrating is that as you say they have to be used with a metal coupler, which is fiddlier to use than the plastic ones you'd use with the likes of Wilton tips.

I have some TALA nozzles & have used them in an icing bag without a coupler without any problems. I would say they are well worth that price.
