Please help. I am pretty new to cake decorating and my friend has asked me to do her wedding cake/cupcakes. She wants Gerbera daisies in all colors. I'm thinking that gum paste would work better than fondant for these but honestly I dont have any idea. Are there forms or cutters that should be used? If so where can I find them. I have looked locally but they aren't in our local craft store that sells cake decorating items. Please any suggestions needed. Her wedding is 11 days away so I dont' have much time and I have looked all over the place and am finding nothing. I figure my friends on here will have some ideas for me.

Ouch, 11 days?! At this point I would just be ordering premade ones! It'll save you a lot of time and stress:

You can make gerberas also by wiring individual petals to give a realistic flower form, but there is a LOT more to it than that - even with the plunger or daisy cutters. I'd be asking if the friend might consider simple daisies at this point, seeing as it's 11 days you have! If you are still keen to make those gerberas then I recommend watching the tutes etc. They are not a quick flower to reproduce!!

I used the pme plunger, and a 50/50 fondant gumpaste mix. (I really don't like the colors the bride chose!)
