I tried my own version of the billowing technique on my tiered cake entry for an ICES cake show this past weekend, and.......I won first place!!!! I am so excited as it was my first cake show and I had to compete in the professional division even though I have only been decorating cakes for 9 months. There were sooooo many amazingly beautiful cakes at the show and it was so cool to meet Rebecca Sutterby and Sharon Zambito and lots of other very talented artists. You can see the cake on my profile. It is the anemone cake. TFL!

anyone received their new issue of Cake Central magazine with Susan's technique? Is is the Dec issue? I would like to buy that issue just to see the technique.
It will be in the Jan/Feb issue, there is no December issue due to printing issues I believe.

The Oct/Nov is still being delivered to some recipients so maybe by the end of March the Jan/Feb will be out icon_smile.gif I can't wait to see it!
