I tried my own version of the billowing technique on my tiered cake entry for an ICES cake show this past weekend, and.......I won first place!!!! I am so excited as it was my first cake show and I had to compete in the professional division even though I have only been decorating cakes for 9 months. There were sooooo many amazingly beautiful cakes at the show and it was so cool to meet Rebecca Sutterby and Sharon Zambito and lots of other very talented artists.
