i have been asked to make a grooms cake that resembles a reeses pb cup... and it needs to feed 250+ ppl... any ideas!

There are tons of ideas in the gallery! Isn't 250 servings huge for a groom's cake? And if its the Reese's pieces you could do a similar thing with them spilling out of a bag.

The groom's cake needs to feed 250 people??!! I can see a peanut butter cup made with the big cupcake pan, only level the top instead of leaving it domed. Frost the sides and top with ganache. You could fill the cake with peanut butter ganache. To feed that many people perhaps make two and sit them on a sheet cake that looks like the wrapper.
