Chocolate Shoe - Where To Put?
Sugar Work By CoveredInCake Updated 23 Jan 2011 , 1:23pm by cupcakesnbuttercream
I made my first chocolate shoe and I don't know where to post it. There is a section for sugar but none for chocolate. Suggestions?

There is no gallery for candy.
However, you can post the cake photo showing the chocolate shoe as a cake topper (part of the decorations).
HTH
If you are making the shoe to go on a cake, then you can post it with the cake, otherwise, it is not allowed in the galleries.

Oh. That's kinda sad. Pulled sugar has a section and it doesn't have to be on a cake... If I get a cake order where I can put a chocolate shoe on it then I will be sure to post it.
Is it made from modelling chocolate? If so then it would be similar to gumpaste 3D could that gallery be extended to include modelling chocolate?
Nope, it's made from just regular poured and piped chocolate.
There are gumpaste shoes just like this, no cake in the picture that are allowed. It's all edible, it's all decorated, it all goes to the same kind of business and art form.
If I make a rose from gumpaste and a rose from chocolate I can post the gumpaste one with no cake but I can't post the chocolate one unless I make a cake just to set it on. That's what I learned about the photos from reading the forums.
Maybe they will include a chocolate section sometime in the future and we can all start posting those photos.
I'm sure there was a point that pulled sugar didn't have a gallery. I'll just wait for a cake order or the chocolate gallery. I'd be really excited to see some of these amazing cake artists chocolate work!
Post it in this thread, I'd love to see it: http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=7005138#7005138
Question: Has anyone seen this design of a chocolate heel made with a 'holder' area to place a cupcake in? I came across a photo of one, but there aren't any molds for it.
