I'm doing a wedding with the colors of silver and sapphire. How do I make that color? It's not quite as dark as navy, but still quite rich. Would I start with a bit of the navy and add a bit of royal blue?

...or purple for a warmer tone.

you won't be able to make navy lighter with royal. i'd start with royal and add navy and maybe a touch of purple. i did this with fondant and it gave me a lovely rich blue color.

and just a reminder that if you plan to tinit white fondant, you won't achieve the dark jewel tones unless you start with ivory fondant. The white won't get you there, due to the titanium dioxide. (bleaches the color kidna sorta)

thanks for the tip. I would have started with white fondant. I will have to give it a try and experiment.
Your advise is greatly appreciated!
