I am attemping to use a styrafome head from a beauty supply store and cover it with either fondant or gum paste. I have a few questions. What is the best thing to adhere the fondant or gum paste to the syrafoam head? I would also like to know if I could use the Wilton food color on a air brush. Or should I use liquid. Some suggested that I use the spray colors. I could really use some help.

I would just ice up the head with buttercream and lay the fondant on top.

If you only have the gel colors, you will need to dilute them with some alcohol before using it in your airbrush. The gels are too thick and will clog the airbrush.

You can use Crisco also - then apply the fondant. Kinda like a dummy cake. I would definitely mix the gel colors with some vodka. thumbs_up.gif

I actually just made a fiona cake using the styrofoam head and used modeling chocolate straight on it, and it worked perfect! icon_biggrin.gif
