Hi All,
I am doing a NY Islander cake for my boyfriends birthday and i am using boiling sugar for the top and i was going to "dust" it so it looks more realistic. My question is, I have to paint the lines and the logo on the "ice" how would i go about doing this? I obviously have to paint it first before I dist it but I have no idea what to use.

thanks for your help!

you could do it the way a real ice rink does it. If you paint the image under the sugar on a surface (like the top of the cake), then put the \\"Ice\\" over it, you\\'d still see the logo below.

And my condolences on having to do a Islanders cake this year.

Well, I'm not sure I'd want to do a Flames cake this year either, but at least it beats an Oilers cake.
