Had an email from a bride tonight and within an hour total, we had emailed back and forth several times and pretty much have the cake planned and ready to go, deposit and contract will be done the end of the week. No tasting requested, she knew what she wanted, budget works out...here we go.

Love it!!!!

I know, right? I can deal with this. Sit at my computer and book dates. Cool.

I love when they trust you based on your reputation... and its a BRIDE which also makes me happy!

I know this is old, but I had that happen once, it was so amazing! We emailed a few times on facebook over a day or two, and the check for the whole amount came on Monday the following week. It was about 6 months before her date, as well. We did finalize the border stencil a few weeks later, and I wound up with a custom design, but I was happy to do it for her. I delivered her cake in a monsoon next to the river, and the colors ran, but she was still very happy and now she is expecting. I hope i get to do the birthday cakes!

I forgot to mention she had the nursery set up by the time she was 11 weeks pregnant! Who does that? All I did was put a bassinet by the bed, and get a few outfits and a pack of diapers. I will be expecting the payment for the kids first birthday cake by the time of his 3 month check-up, lol!

Mine wasn't quite a quick but I was excited. Bride and Groom came in this past Sunday for a tasting. Went well, but they had another tasting the upcoming Wednesday and said they would let me know after that. Well, I get a call from the bride the next day (Monday) saying after they left they agreed they wanted to book with me so they cancelled their other tasting.

Best part - order is $1000 (and only for 150 people!). Most expensive one yet.
