Well, my "start" on my wt loss program is one I don't recommend. I developed two cases of strep back to back. Let me tell you, that was NOT fun. Lost 20 lbs the first month. Then I gave up french fries and "most" fast food. We do a lot of fast food stops because the girls schedule does not always allow sit down meals. Especially during spring softball season. But I did some research and found that the Carl's Jr chicken sandwich is only a little over 300 calories and 5 gm of fat and the Wendy's chicken sandwich (w/out the sauce) is about the same (and I prefer the flavor of the grilled sandwich at wendy's actually). Lots of fruit for snacks on the go and this year, since I hit a plataue, I added a gym membership. Summer sort of crashed and burned that one since I only pd for two kids in the child care center, but school resumes in two days and I hope to get back to 3-5 days/week 1 hour work out at the gym. Boosting your metabolism with exercise (as bad a word as that is) really makes a difference. I do allow myself "treats". we are having pizza for dinner tonight. But I try not to do that every day. Maybe once/week. that way, it doesn't really feel like I'm being deprived?
