Hi there- I know this subject has been addressed in the past and I did search for it, but couldn't find what I was looking for.
My question is - Can I use WASC recipe for Red Velvet? I'm starting with DH Red Velvet cake mix, can I omit almond flavoring all together and just use butter and vanilla? Should I use buttermilk for the liquid?
I've only made RV once before and it was from scratch. I just can't bring myself to dump all that red food coloring into another cake!
