years ago I had a cookbook that had a recipe for saffron layer cake. It was a bit more dense than a normal yellow cake. I did not care for it but my niece loved it and requests it for her birthday but I cannot find the recipe anywhere. Would any of you have it? It was a two layer cake and yellow in color. I have looked online but the only saffron cakes are English and seem to contain currants and cardomam. It was definately a layer cake...thanks for your help. Pat
