I couldn't find any other forum postings about this, so if someone else has a link to one, can you please share it?

Do you like the square boxes with the candy cups or the inserts that have the spots for chocolates or is there something else you like?

I want to do some truffles and caramels.

I'm thinking back alot of years now, but I think the flat boxes with the candy cups always presents well, even if you do a two layer one with the cardboard between the layers. But, you have to take your price point into consideration because different boxes, and candy cups cost money. With truffles being more delicate, I think you'd want to keep them separate. I just found that makes a very nice presentation.

If buying retail, the inserts can become expensive quickly. If you need a large quantity, look online for sources for inserts.

Personally, I prefer the candy cups. They can be bought really cheaply (it really doesn't take long to go through 1000 of them), and the cardboard can be bought at Staples. It's called card stock, and it's a lot less expensive to cut it yourself than to buy the pre-cut cardboards.

Yeah, those inserts are expensive. I never thought about them looking like the mass produced candies. Thank you. I just sell cookies, cakes and cupcakes right now in my business, but I was trying to decide if I wanted to add candy for Valentine's day. People love my caramels and truffles, so why not get paid for them too!
