What is your recent impulse purchase?
My most recent impulse purchases - cake/confectionery related - books. I hit some sales on Barnes&Noble online, with their online coupons, and got two books on macarons, the Cake Boss book, Cake Pops, and Whoopie Pies, to name a few.
Then I spent a period of 6 months on eBay. I collect old books, and went looking for old cookbooks and cake/confectionery books.

Mine was buying a cricut cake machine. Even at $150 I wonder if it is worth it. Won't know until Christmas because it's a present and I can't touch it until then.
books are always an impulse buy... so many great ideas and photos
well, none recently, but while I was decluttering, I came across a number of candy molds still in the packaging. I never make candy of any kind so can't even imagine why I'd buy them in the first place. I guess that's why they were all in the "throw this clutter out!" pile! 
I online impulse buy dusts of all kinds. I mean, if I'm already ordering something, whats adding a $4 dust.... 6 times! Most of them get used eventually... some have never been opened.
Maybe it would be good to start a trading post of sorts...I'll trade my junk for your junk sort of thing. It's a good thing I am on a very limited budget, because I could see me going crazy on some DVD's and maybe a edible image printer, or a cricut. Oh what fun. But seriously, I would love to have a trading post to pick up some things that other people might consider "junk". I totally believe in reduce, recycle, reuse. lol.
I ordered my new 6qt mixer yesterday, been wanting one forever! My 4.5 qt just isn't big enough and my DH finally talked me into doing it
Ugh! Stupid imprinting mats, the small ones, with lots of pretty scrolls and flowers and stuff. I never get to do just pretty, straightforward traditional cakes, it's always the carved stuff and the figurines (which I love, don't get me wrong, but it's hardly the place to use these things). They just looked so pretty, and I know I'm never ever going to use them unless I make myself a birthday cake next year (which I'm morally opposed to doing 
). Just sayin'.

Buy the florescent lighting panels at the hardware stores instead! They are very cheap and have cool patterns!!!!
I can't stop myself from buying paint brushes--sets of artist brushes--if I have a cake I know I will need some of the skinny paint brushes--you can't have too many! Ooohhh brushes.
