Try simple syrup and your choice of extract, cooked down to a thick syrup.

I am wondering if the op was talking about the spray candy that kids love. I googled and found on Snopes it can be a danger by drinking it. http://www.snopes.com/food/warnings/bigmouth.asp

A few years back, I was eating a commercial made chocolate covered cherry with the liquid center, I experienced the same thing that was in the article. I could not breathe, it was like I was being strangled. I would suggest to op do some research on liquid candy before trying it.

Sorry, but this is the first notice I got of posts to this question.

Simple syrup can be used for lots of things, but it's primary use in cake decorating is to moisten sponge cakes, the way some people use Torani syrups. It can be flavored with extracts or liqueurs, or instant coffee, to give more flavor to the cake.

It's made with 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water - bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar is completely melted.
