I just purchased piping grl for the first time. I bought Wiltons brand and I wish I had seen the comments here before about not liking its taste.
I purchased it because I heard you can "stabilize" whipping cream icing with it.
Question - How much piping gel do you use to how much whipping cream???
Also--do you add it while your whipping the cream or fold/sitr it iin after the cream is whipped?? Thanks

I do not use this to stabilize whipped cream - I use melted knox gelatin, instead.

I whip it in while I'm whipping the cream.

Try using Pastry Pride. It's already stabilized. I use it on ALL my cakes and I've never had a problem with it. Good Luck!

This is what I have used before. When using it the whip cream will hold up for days. icon_smile.gif

We pick it up in Dallas at a German store there.
