HI everyone!

I need some ideas that would be somewhat simple for a baby shower for a girl. I am fairly new to cake decorating and have limited supplies....1 round pan, one 12x18 square pan, wonder mold, 3 D bear pan, mini bear pan. I have never stacked a cake and am scared to, it looks so hard! I haven't done roses yet because I was told if I try to do them on my own I will get too many bad habits before the teacher could show me....(I am moving soon and will be close to a Michaels so I will get to take classes.....I'm SOOOO excited!) Any ideas would be wonderful! icon_biggrin.gif

THANKS

The only tips I have are the ones that came with the Wilton course I. I am expecting more anyday from ebay (it's been 3 weeks). icon_rolleyes.gif

Gibson you could do a buttercream transfer on any one of the cake pan sizes you have. You could do a simple shell border tip 21 or 16 that comes in the class 1 kit and to do a buttercream transfer you don't really need a tip at all. The directions for a buttercream transfer can be found here on cake central under the articiles tab. You could do any design you want. The theme of the party, or something from the invitation.
I did a babyshower cake and did BCT a week or so ago and I used the theme of the party and just searched for ideas that would match.
Hope this helps

Those are all great!
I really like the last one.......I'm leaning towards a square cake I don't know.........I've seen one with a two tiered round (which I don't have the supplies for don't have the smaller round pan) covered in blue fondant with white fondant bubbles and a rubber ducky on top, I just don't think that would look good with pink.....so I was trying to think of something else I could put on top instead of the ducky....

I don't know.....there are soooo many beautiful cakes on this site.....

Gibson,

I think any of those listed by Momsandraven would be doable. If you have some baby type cookie cutters you could frost the cake, use the cookie cutter to lightly make an impression then outline along the cookie cutter line and fill with stars.

Here is a very cute one that would not be very hard.
