I'm in the process of starting my business and having a really hard time w/ the name. I was thinking about Sweet Treats by Angie, and have recently come across another business in the area w/ the name Sweet Treats Buffet. Do you think this is too close? I'm also considering a play on words, something like "Treats Me Good". I will be renting a kitchen and will not have a storefront, so I'm trying to stay away from the words bakery and shop. Any imput would be grately appreciated.
Thanks,
Angie
I do think since you are in the same town you might want to stay away from sweet treats. I do like the other one though!
I like the second one better. It's more modern, and has humor to it.
Or how about Treats You Good, referring to the customer, rather than yourself?

I don't like it at all. The first thing I thought when I read it was that it should be Treats Me Well. I really hate it when businesses use bad grammar in their names as well as misspellings like Konfections instead of confections.
I do think the first name is too close to the existing business in your area. Having such a similar name won't be good for either of you. It's too bad because it's a cute name. It's so hard to hit on a good name!
How Sweet It Is will be my business name someday. I live in CA so you may use it if you like.
Thanks for your responses. I think Treats You Good, sounds much better also. I make cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and gift baskets. I'm also toying w/ Sweet Baking Company or Sugar Baking Company. It just seems like everthing that I come up w/ is already being used by another bakery.
