So about 3 weeks ago we had to do 3000 (yes, that's 3 0's ) Cake Bites for two Cake Bite weddings on the same weekend. Now, after calculating our Christmas orders, we have another 3000-4000 due by the 18th for various customers who are giving the Cake Bites as gifts to their corporate clients. I'll be quite ready for a break.
Wow! That is a quite a lot to complete. Have a good break from it when you are on the other side......
Cake bites? Is this the same as cake balls?
Yeah, just what is a cake bite?
May I please ask what you are charging for those large orders? Are you discounting your regular retail price? And are you charging by the piece, dozen, or hundred?
Thanks -
Theresa
I call them that too. I don't like the idea of calling them "balls" Great job on your large orders & hope you get a rest after the holidays.
I have a ton of cake balls/cake bites/cake truffle orders as well! Not 3000 but I have probably made that many in individual orders. Must be the new hip thing and I'll gladly ride that wave! I sell mine by the dozen. How do others sell theirs?

Every time I hear the phrase "cake balls", I crack up - it makes me remember the scene that Alec Baldwin did on Saturday Night Live. The one where he was a baker with the last name Schwetty, and the cakes he was hawking were little spheres called Schwetty Balls.
Too funny!
