Yes, I see that the basic cartridge that comes with the cricut mini is being sold separately on ebay...I think that the seller is just trying to make as much money off of ppl as possible because supposedly the only way to this cartridge is by purchasing the cricut mini....kinda cheezy huh? However, there are some REALLY good deals on the cartridges right now, and your mini will accept all the carts, including MS's...If you are lucky you might still be able to find somthing at Michaels, as they have been giving them away practically. Good luck and have fun, I love my little mini icon_smile.gif

One more question for u who have the cricut cake. I had originally planned on buying myself the expressions machine so I could use it for paper cutting as well as for the cakes. I know that if I did that I needed different mats and blades. Does anyone know if I can fit the cake machine with a regular blade and mats to cut paper? I know that the machines are very similar, but am not sure if it will cut paper. I don't see why not, but wanted to ask first.

Yes you can. The blades and mats from the expression will also work the cricut cake.
