I'm interested in making a cupcake bouquet so I have 2 questions:

Where can I find the plastic cups that I see everyone using for their cupcake bouquets?

And are there any tutorials on the site that shows how to make the cupcake arrangements?

Thanks

I have pictures of some I have done in my profile. I don't use the cups. You can actually make them without it just as easy. Be sure you use a dense cake and freeze them first. You need a pot and a styrofoam ball. You basically glue the ball to the pot and then stick the toothpicks in and insert the cupcakes. I start at the bottom and angle them up to stableize them. The final step is to decorate it. I haven't had trouble with them falling off at all but I don't recommend them for warm weather. That's when gravity takes over.

i tried the way the other person is describing. that is one way also, but using the cups, everyone is saying is much better. so please check out the cup tutorial before going on.

I have cupcake bouquets in my photos that I have made using KHalstead's tutorial, it is the BEST!! They are extremely sturdy when using the cup method. I found the small cups at Party City and the 5 oz cups at WalMart. The cups are cheap, and you get a ton of them!! They are fun to make!!

Here is the link on how to make the exact vase of cupcakes from the picture you posted

I have only used standard sized cupcakes so far, but I want to try minis for my next one. There are 2 bouquets also featured in the Marine Corps cake photo. I love making them and they would make a beautiful hostess gift!! Good luck and have fun! My tip to you from my own experience is to make sure that your cupcakes are flat and don't have a dome. The weight of the buttercream can cause the cupcake top to fall off if the cupcake is on the side of the bouquet.

THANKS A LOT for all your responses!! I'm going to check wal-mart this weekend.

@JawdroppingCakes: I took a look at your cupcake bouquet and it is beautiful!! It looks so real. What tip did you use?

Also, in most of the picture tutorials that I found I notice toothpicks in the cups. How does that work with the styrofoam ball?

@cmartinez76 your bouquets are beautiful! esp the sunflower bouquet.

What is a good price range to charge? I live in Florida, so I was thinking about $50 or more....is that a good price?
