I just wanted to celebrate the success of my first wedding cake. I am so relieved and excited about it. I was a guest at the wedding and watching the reactions from everyone was a treat.. it was the best gift I have given someone and in return it has given me the gift of self confidence and the urge to keep going. I already have about 5 orders just from this one cake.. and about 2 from the hen's party cake (in the naughty section). I can't thank my girlfriend enough for having faith in me to create this for her.. she left the whole creative process in my hands and let me 'go for it' so to speak. She has relit my creative passion and I finally have that special something for myself to pursue. Don't get me wrong.. being a mother and a wife is an awesome job in itself.. but I have always felt that there was a sad void that was longing to be filled.. and this is it. Between me and all of you cc members I really do think I have had a 'guiding hand' directing me towards my path. I honestly believe my father who passed away last year is encouraging me.. I can feel it. I believe this because the whole journey into cake decorating has been so sudden, impulsive yet strangely calm and oddly successful. There has not been one single moment where I have felt overwhelmed or thought 'what am I doing? I can't do this'.. the whole process has been so natural. I know I am probably ranting like a looney.. but I am so happy and feel so alive with this newfound creativity.. I just feel he is watching over me.. it has made me incredibly happy. I have to thank all of you cc members too.. I have learnt about 95% of everything I have applied to cake decorating so far from this site.. you all are amazing xxx
