My royal icing flowers instructor adds an extra tablespoon of meringue powder and decreases water by a tablespoon to make royal icing. It has a taste like divinity and does not dry rock hard. It is hard but when you put it in your mouth, it melts instead of sounding like you are crunching rocks. Makes me curious if there is a recipe for divinity using meringue powder.
