Thanks JanH.

I have used the extended recipes for other cakes and love them, but I wasn't sure if I needed to do anything different for the German Chocolate flavor. I will just start with a German Chocolate cake mix and go from there. thumbs_up.gif

Since the German Chocolate Cake isn't really very chocolatey, you could probably substitute a tablespoon of cocoa for some of the flour. icon_smile.gif

I found 2 German Chocolate enhanced cake recipes... Both were said to be good... The first was to add 1 container of coconut pecan frosting to a plain german chocolate cake mix. Add 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup of oil, and 3 large eggs.

I have made an awesome italian cream cake with the coconut frosting in the mix. It's celebrated around these parts and people think I slave over that cakeicon_smile.gif It does take longer to bake and does not make a good stack cake. VERY moist! I cook all of my cakes on 325.

The other is a plain german chocolate cake mix, 1 cup of buttermilk, 1/2 cup of veg oil, 3 large eggs, 1 tsp vanilla. Good luck!!!
