Throughout the year, I've heard some CC members mention that there are specific flavors or ingredients they can only get around the holidays and they stock up this time of year. I saw green colored mint chips in the grocery store and I this is a "holiday only" offering where I shop. I believe I recall someone mentioning flavors of non-dairy creamer that they can only get now. What are you excited to find in the stores and how do you use it?
Trader Joe's Pumpkin Pie Spice is a must-buy for this time of year. I use it in just about anything that calls for cinnamon.
I stock up on candy cane kisses and buttermints. But that's another story and really has nothing to do with cake.

LOL!!!!!
I too grab the mint chocolate chips and candycane coffee creamer. To me, mint is an year-round flavor!!!!!!

LOL, ditto. I love to keep a bag or two of the kisses in the freezer and then break them out in July, to enjoy a hint of "Christmas in July."
Redpanda--do you use the TJ's pumpkin pie spice in lieu of or in addition to the cinnamon? I'm intrigued.
I wait months and months for eggnog to appear on the shelves and then I use it in everything...cupcakes, cookies, candy (fudge).
Want to try the candy cane kisses in a version of peanut butter blossoms that use chocolate dough instead of peanut butter. My husband is obsessed with the combination of mint and chocolate.
I have to agree with redpanda- the pumpkin pie spice from Trader Joes all the way.... and pumpkin butter from the local farm.
Oh, peppermint kisses in chocolate cookies sound delightful!
I've never heard of using eggnog in fudge. Will you share more details and even a recipe?
Torani Eggnog and Pumpkin Spice coffee syrups.....yummm.
Our Meijers sells eggnog year round now, so I have access to that all year now.
Thanks for the fudge recipe! I also love pumpkin butter (Trader Joe's for me) mixed with cream cheese and warmed up. Dip yummy stuff into it. Divine.
