What is it about them that makes them so good for icing cakes? Couldn't parchment paper be used for the same purpose?

I have used wax paper before I actually bought some Viva paper towels.. I think they work so well because they are like the only paper towel I have found to have a smooth slide, instead of having all the impressions others have..

Well, I know that some will used viva, parchment, and then a piece of paper to get that perfect look. I say just try and see what works for you. =)

I have used it all and I like the paper towel method the best. viva because it is smooth is now my favorite.
