I remember once seeing some lace work that was sugared, not made of sugar but coated in sugar. I am interested to find out if any-one has heard of the technique or knows how to do the same.
Thanks
No I'm not familiar with what you saw.
But I mean I just tried a thought I got from what you said it by tracing the pattern on some florist foil with piping gel and sprinkling plain white sugar on it and it kinda dissolves into it--it was extra fine granulated though. Now that looked cool but not especially sugar-y
So I tried another area with some sanding sugar and it's very chystal-y and it's pretty too. Would make really nice snowflakes. Would make a very interesting lace pattern.
So just a brainstorm thought.
I mean I don't know what you saw and this might easily be nothing like it but this looks like a sugary texturous lace. Very appealing to the eye.
