Sorry people, this is kinda gross! I have to make a b-day cake for a lady's hubby who apparently has the disgusting habit of clipping his toenails and leaving them in a pile for her to pick up. She wants a cake with a foot and nail clippings on it. Ugh! In my opinon, he doesn' deserve a cake, but personal feeling aside, I was thinking of making the foot out of either modeling chocolate, RKT or fondant. Which would work better? And would the toenail clippings be easiest if I made them out of gumpaste? Any suggestions or ideas would be welcomed!

I think shaved white chocolate or broken white chocolate curls that are brushed with oil might look toe nail-y. Gum paste would probably be easier though.

It would be hard to resist painting at least one of the toe nails!

Somehow an entire cake that's a foot seems less unsavory than a foot on top of a cake. But just an observation.

Half creepy, half cool order!

My nephew is a bigfoot fanatic. If you go to my photos you will see the foot my daughter and I made. It is all cake except we used fondant to make the toenails. It was hilarious! He assumed I would be doing a guitar for him since he was (at the time) the lead guitarist for Alpha Rev. But no, we surprised him. He loved it!

So she wants a 12" round cake withe the foot on top of it and the toenail clippings neatly piled next to it. I guess he's "thoughtful" enough to leave them in a pile for her to pick up and not leave them scattered all over the place!
Cakesdivine your cake is so funny, I loved it!
K8memphis, I'm gonna try the shaved candy clay for the nails, it might work! Oh and you don't even know how badly I want to polish those toes a bright red!
Thanks fellow CC's for your help.
