Hello All, I'm making a spider cake and I'm contemplating using a different color besides black because I don't want it to stain everyones mouths. Do you think I should or is there a better way to make black so you don't have to use soooo much black coloring? Thanks in advance!

I always put coco powder in my icing to help with the black color. Just sift it as you would the PS and it will require much less black coloring. HTH thumbs_up.gif

I may be to late for this.... but I start with chocolate BC, it is normally pretty dark.... and Only have to ad a TINY TINY bit of black for a deep black! (Gel food coloring.) It didn't stain anyones mouth, and I had a whole racetrack covered in it.
