I Need Info On Bettercreme
Decorating By AmazingGraceCakes Updated 22 Oct 2010 , 8:54am by sweettreat101
Does anyone have any info on bettercreme, I tried to search on the forum but get an error message. I know where to get some but what's the difference between buttercream and bettercreme, is one easier to frost with than the other? What has been your experience with bettercreme?
Thank you!

I hope those links answered all of your questions... if not, let us know and I'm sure we can be more specific.
Frostin Pride works better than Bettercreme. Bettercreme doesn't take colors well so you end up with pastels. It's also like using whipped cream. Make sure not to over whip or you will have trouble frosting your cakes. The more you squeeze your decorating bag the more it sets up making the frosting stiff. Butter cream is a lot easier to work with for sure. I despise working with non dairy frosting's. I had to mix a large batch for the tiered blue cake in my photos and mix small batches so it wouldn't set up to quickly. Takes 20 minutes or more per batch just to whip the stuff. If you want to add color I recommend doing it while it's still in liquid form.
