I have a wedding cake on Saturday to deliver and going to start decorating it tomorrow. I have started getting quite nervous as this is my second one and the 1st one was a bit of a disaster. Can everybody pray for me that everything would go well icon_sad.gif

Good Luck!!! I find that if I just slow down and take a deep breath, and work slowly things work out better.

Be calm and keep positive. Consider the first one an experience to learn from.
Good luck and prayers for you going up!

Thanks everyone, your blessings are all appreciated. Amygortoncakes, your right about taking things slowly. I took my baby to the day nursery yesterday and managed to decorate the wedding cake yesterday which leaves me free today before the delivery tomorrow. I am having trouble keeking the ribbon on the base of each tier to stay in place. I secured the end with tape but when you look at the front of the cake, there is a gap between the ribbon and cake (no matter how much I try to tighten it). It looks loose and don't know what to do. I have had problems with this cake too. I was torting the largest tier with the wilton leveller (which is completley rubbish) as it started to go upwards instead of staight so the filling is slanted(almost to the top of the cake!). I hope this is not very obvious once it has been cut. The last wedding cake I did I was too generous with the filling which resulted in the cakes looking stanted once findant was on them. This time I did the opposite and put the filling in sparingly (has anyone complained about having too little filling?) I also did a syrupy lemon cake which I am afraid I have poured in too much syrup. The largest tier which was a chocolate cake had hard corners which I could do nothing about. All these are nagging inside my head
