I always take a whisk to the dry cake mix & whisk until all of the clumps are out & it looks like flour. I have found that my cakes come out fluffier & I have even had the hubs tell me how much I've improved! icon_wink.gif

Yep, I find that the finished texture of the cake is better and less air tunnels as well. Not sure why this is so, but it is my observation.

I always sift! Its amazing how many rock hard pieces you get out by sifting.

i never used to and tried it once, i never looked back, i ALWAYS sift my cake mix. Gives me a much better product.
