Look I Found How To Make Tall Cupcakes!

I'm just wondering if it's too much for one serving? I mean, it's THREE cupcakes!
Also, I wouldn't want to make too many of these as they would be pretty labor-intensive. (A wedding of 150 would be a lot of rolling, cutting, and wrapping fondant!) And the cost would have to be pretty high per serving. My standard size, non-filled cupcakes with buttercream frosting are $2.25 each; filled and/or fondant covered are more. And considering the additional time to cut, fill, stack, and cover these...I'm thinking $8 per serving at a minimum!
Still, they're cute and I could see offering them. I like the idea of covering them with a ganache or poured fondant instead of a rolled fondant. That would certainly save some time.
Thanks so much for reposting this. A while ago I had bookmarked a blog with it and thought I would come back to it whenI got the time off from school to try them. Well this summer I clicked on the bookmark and found out she closed her blog to people she didn't invite. I'm so thankful that there are people on her willing to share! I can't get to the link posted by the OP, just the youtube video, so I don't know if this was mentioned on the link or not. But one thing I do remember seeing from the pictures when I had first seen that blog is that to trim the cupcakes, she just used a big circle cutter instead of cutting the edges off with a knife.
That's the part I liked about the pic tutorial and not the video. It looked like she used a cookie or biscuit cutter in the pics.
If you make these, please give credit to the originator, sugarbloomcupcakes.blogspot.com/
The blog entry on the first post was merely Sugarbloom's page (including her photos) translated into a different language.
Thank you.
It may be posted already but check out SugarBloom.
They have a great tall cupcake tutorial.
They're pretty, but am I the only one who thinks the shape is WAAAY to close to a tin can?
I did that to make my turrets on a castle cake and to make personal size fire hydrants. But I like the idea of making them so pretty. Thanks for the post.
Yes, that was Sugarbloom's site. I also had it bookmarked, but she's made the blog private. She has her own business, and I have a feeling she probably makes a lot of money off those Tall Cupcakes, so made the blog private. The photos in link that was posted on the first page have actually been STOLLEN from Sugarbloom's blog, and do not belong to the person who's using them on her blog now. That's probvably another reason why she made her blog private. I've made these cupcakes a few times. They're very unique looking, but I find most people just peel the fondant off and eat the cupcake inside, so there's more wastage with these. But they are super pretty!
