Need Cake Mix Recipes That Will Stand Up To Fondant/decor

I'm looking for 2 "add to cake mix" recipes for chocolate and yellow cakes. I am making a 1 layer half sheet and covering it with fondant and another 3/4 of a layer and I'm afraid it will collapse if I use a regular cake mix!! I need a yellow recipe for the bottom and chocolate for the top. Thanks a million!!! )
You can use this recipe with any cake mix, and it is wonderful....

Thank you so much!! I had been looking for this in the recipes section, but didn't know what to search for. You are a lifesaver!!! )
The Durable recipe for white cake and this one for chocolate:

are two of my most favorite and most used recipes. I use them for any cakes that are carved or that have to support significant weight, such as when I make a cake with lots of molded fondant animals, rocks, trees, etc.
They are both delicious and always get RAVE reviews for taste, density, etc.
If I need to keep square corners or hold shaped curves, etc. I cover them with chocolate ganache (under the fondant) rather than buttercream. This combination produces a really durable, sharply detailed cake.
I'm glad to see this recommendation for durable cake. I'm going to do a 3d standing Mickey Mouse and was thinking of using the durable cake recipe. I've never tried it so I didn't know how it would turn out.
I've always used the same cake mix I use for the rest of my cakes but instead of adding the 1/3 cup of oil that it calls for, I only add like 1 Tablespoon. This makes it much more firm.
