hey everyone, i tried searching for this but couldnt find anything so sorry if this has been asked before. i have a wedding cake to do for this weekend, they want a frangipani spray on top and i have the frangipanis made but im not sure whats the best way to do it...a ball of fondant and push the flowers in/stick them to it with RI, or make a fondant round and then stick them to that with RI? the MOB has asked for it to be removable so she can place it on top when she delivers the cake as its over an hr drive away and she wants to make sure it gets there in one peice. thanks
melt some (coordinating colored) candy wafers/melts/chocolates and make a mound on a wax paper, stick your flowers in. I will do this when making bows. Helps to create a base. Put the melted wafers into a parchment bag to pipe the chocolate "glue" in between sections to keep them together. Then the whole thing can be handled, placed on top of the cake, removed when need be.
HTH.
