Pricing Chart?

I'm just wondering if anyone has a pricing chart that they go off of. Something simple like:
6" round = $x
8" round=$y
10" round=$z

.. just to make sure you are always in the right ball park.

We've structured our prices so the cost per serving drops as the cake gets larger. For regular and vegan cakes, we charge the following (prices include basic decorations, fruit fillings are extra, gluten-free is extra):

8" Round double layer   (6-10 serv): $39
10" Round double layer (12-16 serv): $49
12" Round double layer (18-24 serv): $64

This is in the SF bay area, so depending on your local cost of living you may need to charge less. We do make a 6" cake if the customer requests, but the price is the same as the 8".

Wow, those are generous servings! A sell an 8" for 20 servings. And get $60 for it.

And i sell an 8" for 25 servings.

There is no general pricing as the cost of your ingredients, your overheads, taxes, and what you pay yourself (or an employee) hourly.

I should clarify, those are prices for BC only party cakes with two 2" layers (which make up most of our business). Wedding cakes are typically in the $5/serving range based on this chart:

But now that I look at those numbers, they are pretty generous. We came up with the number of servings when we launched our business and we haven't really looked at them since (although we have adjusted prices). Based on ~4-5.5 square inches per serving, the 8" would be 9-12, 10" is 14-18, and 12" is 20-26.

I made up my own serving amounts in a similar chart. I go by 12 servings for an 8". I don't charge differently for wedding verse celebration cakes. All BC cakes cost the same.

Are these fondant or BC covered cakes?
Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.
