I am doing a cake for a DJ and wanted to do record albums in a milk crate! Does anyone believe this can be done! I am speaking about a life size milk crate! Do you think this possible? Plz give any advice on how you would do it, or how I can build an edible milk crate! TIA

You don't really have to "build" a milk crate. You just have to create the illusion of a milk crate.

I would start with a large square cake. Decorate it to look like a block of albums.

Then, apply strips of fondant to the cake in the pattern of a milk crate. If you have a clay gun, I'll bet you'll find a disc that will give you the shape you need.

I would do a practice cake first and pipe out the milk crate part out of melting chocolate on some waxed paper.
