How long can you keep leftover fondant after its been colored?

i would say that if you keep it wrapped properly, a couple of weeks! Saran Wrap works great if you wrap it very tight.

I have kept it for weeks and weeks, and its fine.......I keep it in a ziplock bag in a cannister............whats in it to spoil????

Put a thin coat of shortening on it and cover several times with Seran Wrap. Then double bag it in a Ziplock. Should keep for weeks. Just be sure to smell it when you get ready to use it. I didn't wrap some fondant very well once and it absorbed odors from the fridge.

I don't keep mine in the fridge I keep it in a cannister set, I got specifically for my fondant. It lasts for a very long time. I have never really dated it......if it gets like a rock/I throw it

Has anyone tried one of those food storage systems that sucks the air out? I was just wondering because it seems like i waste a lot of fondant by having to open it and only use a small part of it.
