Hello all!
I'm pretty new to the serious cupcake making scene, but I've been baking for a very long time. Icing, however, isn't really my thing.
My friend is getting married next August, the reception is going to be outside and she's asked me to make her wedding cupcakes. I said yes, but I have NO idea what icing would be best to use. It needs to have some durability so it doesn't immediately melt the second I bring it out. It could be as hot as 90 F.
Advice would be very much appreciated.
I'm clueless and need all the help I can get!
Thanks!!!

there is a thread on here somewhere in which a CC'er made a cupcake with my icing, sat it outside on her patio all afternoon in 90+ degree heat and the icing held up fine. no bleeding of color, no melting, no losing shape.
Ditto. indydebi's icing is the best for hot weather. And it tastes good too.
