Yes, it does have quite a learning curve, but it's an amazing product! Give it some time and just try all kind of different combinations, speeds, thicknesses, etc and you'll get it!

ilovepeeks,
When he was a very little boy, he used to bring me rocks, saying they were his treasures. So it was a good thing.

However, over a period of time I kept noticing that my purse was getting heavier and heavier. I finally dumped it out to find that he had been collecting rocks on our outings and putting them in my purse. I didn't know that I had been carrying a gravel pit around with me!

I'm thinking you're going to need to make a cake using your new toy to tell him thanks!
You must be a great mom for him to be so thoughtful!

Congrats! I hope you have fun!

Congratulations for the new cricut, and also for raising such amazing son. I guess having the cricut is amazing but your son buying it for you is just beyond amazing.
God bless him and all your family.

first of all, congratulations! i use mmf and i roll it out on the mat, freeze it for about 15 min, make my cuts, then pop it back in the freezer before removing my pieces. that way they don't disfigure when lifting from the mat. have fun!

cutthecake That is absolutely adorable. That story you will treasure forever, and certainly a story to tell your grandchildren about. My grandchildren love hearing stories about their mommy or daddy.

Same with my guys. Now I get to enjoy the Grandkids, and loving every minute of it. I was a single mom w/4 children, 2 girls 2 boys, and honestly what those boys didn't do! We all laugh, cause now its back to haunt them!
