Thanks for the info Dulce I have been worrying about all the animals too.. I know all the people at the shelters aren't allowed to bring their pets so what has happend to all those poor animals.. We have 2 cats and they are our babies ,I just don't think I would be able to leave them.

Just letting ya'll know that at every shelter here there is also a shelter for pets. All kinds of pets. PetCo also has a shelter in my town for the pets. So we in Bossier City/Shreveport are taking care of the pets too.

I guess it varies from shelter to shelter. We were watching coverage where folks had to choose between carrying on luggage or their belongings and their animals. One man being evacuated chose his two dogs. I think I would have done the same. It is understandable that space is at a premium when evacuating people, but it must just break people's hearts. Sometimes that is all they have and anyone that has ever had a pet knows. that is part of your family. For some people, that is their only family.
