Hi everyone,
I am making cookies for my daughter and her friends for homecoming. They will be dresses with little flowers. I was hoping to use all fondant. What is the drying time, after adding the fondant flowers to the dress, for packaging? Will the fondant flowers dry enough to be stacked?
Here is a picture of the cookies I'm going to try to replicate. Autumn Carpenter cookie cutters and mat.
Thank you,
Vonda
If the cookies are not going to be totally flat (i.e.- slight curl in flower petals), you may experience some breakage when stacking. Be careful. These are gorgeous. What a great mom!

I was afraid of that. What is the best way to box them with, hopefully, no breakage?

I do lots of all fondant cookies. I usually let them dry overnight and I live in the Ft. Worth area also so I know all about the humidity. All fondant cookies usually take me a minimum of 3 nights to decorate and let dry. After they are dry I then package them in cellophane bags with a ribbon. The flowers are so small that I am not sure that they will be harmed. Do not stack the cookies on top of each other. Once they are packaged stand them up right in a bakery box and they will be OK. If you are still worried about the flowers breaking try some small ribbon bows. Attach with a small dab of royal icing. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much. I live in West Texas, very little humidity. I used to live in Benbrook and remember the humidity well.
