How To Make Sugar Balls Out Of Gelatin......
Decorating By cblupe Updated 26 Nov 2011 , 6:32am by JanH
Recently I was watching a short video from the ICES convention and I can't remember who I was watching.
She showed a cake that she had done with what looked like blown sugar balls but said they were done with gelatin and a balloon.
Does anyone know how to do this or have information on this? Maybe a you-tube or tutorial?
Thanks,
Carol

You can also contact sweetflowers directly on this site.....she is probably the person you saw giving the demonstration.
Thanks so much for the tutorial, I've always been curious about these beautiful gelatin balls. Can't wait to give it a try.
I have tried these geletin balloons- ugh!!! Have not been able to do them at all-- so frustrating- they look so cool
Post pics and let us know how you make out-
Seeing this post I may give it another shot--

The best suggestion is to try again. They really are easy, but you have to pay attention to the tutorial and do what it says. The gelatin sets pretty fast on the 2nd and 3rd coats so it needs to be warm (re heat it) and you can't play with it, just dip and let set up. Good luck!
