icon_cry.gif First time for me to mess up an order. It feels so terrible I just need to cry it out.

Birthday cake to be delivered today for a boys 9th birthday. The family flew into Walt Disney World today and were going to surprise him tonight with the cake.

The problem is, I had it on my calendar for Monday, September 6th and I've been preping for it for Monday's delivery. Football field cake with a football helmet. I've got so much going on in my life and the cake orders are increasing.

They called and said they had just checked into the room and wondered where the cake was. icon_cry.gif

I told them I was very sorry and the only thing I could do was deliver it on Monday at no charge. I feel just awful. They were very understanding, thank God.

It happened. You are making it right the best you can at this point. Learn from it and move on. And really, the kid's at Disney World, his birthday is still gonna turn out okay! icon_smile.gif

boy's thoughts -- Cake? yagaddabekiddinme! DISNEY WORLD HERE I COME! this of course said at 4 am in the morning as he rouses parents from deep sleep so as to be sure he is first in line to get into the park.

I'm feeling much better. I believe I have rectified the situation. Here is their complementary cake.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I truly know the feeling. The same thing happened to me with the exception she wasn't as understanding. I'd told her I'd do the cake for free and have it the next day. She never took the cake and I heard she was really mad. I felt so bad, but I've learned from my mistake and moved on. Thats all we can do. Glad it worked out for you.
