Thanks to a great suggestion by M0use, we are running a special promotion to help survivors of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.
For the entire month of September we will be donating 10% of all sales in the Cake Central Store to the Red Cross Relief Effort. This will be in addition to us maintaining the sale prices we have been offering since the store opened.
You will also find a direct link to Red Cross on the homepage if you would like to do more to help than what our store promotion can offer.
We will be keeping a running tally of the money raised by this promotion on the homepage so we can all take pride in the efforts of our community to help others improve their lives.
If you have made a direct donation to the Red Cross, feel free to Private Message Jackie and she can add your amount to the "Direct Donations" running total. It is not necessary for you to let us know, its simply a neat way for our community to share its generosity and helpfulness with each other.
Every donation counts, wether its $1, or $100.
We will not be keeping any records of who gave what.... we are only keeping a running total.
Look at it this way, if every single CakeCentral member gave just $1 the CC community would be donating over $12,000.00 as a whole, not including any sales from the store.
