Is there something going on with CC's website? I can't access their home page...in fact, I had to 'sneak' in through the gallery site! This started on Saturday. What gives?

You are not alone. There have been many complaints over the past few days about many features of CC. My guess is they're doing web site maintenance.

i did recieve a message that there was an update to the server taking place.....? but i was able to get logged on later on.

I'm using Firefox and my latest problem has been trying to access "view posts since your last visit" and getting the "no topics or posts exists which match your search criteria." I've also been unable to view the recipe for Buttercream Dream in the recipes section.

There definitely have been problems lately. Holding my breath and hoping we don't have another disastrous crash.

I'm using Firefox too! I hate IE. Maybe that's it. Hey CC web people...if you're out there, you've got problems!

I haven't been able to go to the home page in at least six months or longer. I have to go through recipes and log in, but still don't get the homepage. I have no problem when I am at my daughter's house.

I've been having weird trouble too! Suddenly cant upload new photos. And also not getting notified about topics I'm following. I did send CC a request for help, but to no avail. Hope they clear things up soon. I'm new to this site and was really enjoying it.

I'm using IE, and have CC saved under my favorites list. Everytime I try to open the site thru that, it takes me to a page saying that This Page Cannot Be Found. But, when I try it a second time, it works fine. Been doing this since Friday.

I suddenly can't use the search feature. It says "page cannot be found. Does anyone know what is going on??

I have lost the home page and "topics since last visit".

try loging on through google chrome-IE will not work on my computer to view CC. HTH

So others are able to access the site from computers other than their home? That's what's happening to me...I cannot access Cakecentral AT ALL from home I use Firefox and I tried IE - now I'm at work and we use IE....someone said something about Google Chrome...never used it...let's hope they see this and FIX IT SOON!!!!!

I've just now been able to get here!!! It's been almost 2 hours that I couldn't
connect with CC. I've been able to go to other sites without any problems.
Must be the overly hot summer we're having that is causing all these issues!!!

I thought it was my computer...I have the same issues, I have to sneak in through galleries or somewhere else and then when I try to log in, it may take 3-5 times before it actually accepts it.....also, the scroll bars for most saved photos and recent photos won't update for days at a time sometimes

There are definitely several issues going on here that hopefully will
soon be remedied. I love reading threads and if possible add my
2¢ but I've been stuck for a while on one page and not been able
to manuever around. Same was happening when looking a pics.
Eventually I would give up waiting and just close the tabe and go
elsewhere for a while.
Guess we have to just bide our time for now and hope for the best.

Cant upload pics since Friday The one time I have a cake Im proud of and cant show it off lol! I also have this site saved on my yahoo tool bar to log on and now when I try to use it ,it says the site you are searching cannot be found but second try works ! I sent help request but no answer back ....

I was able to access the home page only through Internet Explorer after someone here said they were on Firefox like me. But it loaded very slowly. Maybe if we keep this thread going, someone at CC will see it and respond. I just want to know why it's happening and if they are working on the problem. If WE are having difficulties, imagine how many more people are out there that just aren't mentioning it because they haven't figured out how to get in!

BUMP...so we can keep it going!! Is there a tech support number to call?!

Can't view posts since last visit or post pictures to forums. It doesn't kick me out or error, just.... nothing. I hope it gets fixed soon. Glad it isn't just me.

I am not sure about all the problems but I couldn't get te main page to finis loading in Firefox. I sent a message and did not get any reply. I asked the techies at work and they said to use IE, which I hate. I even tried to see if I needed a new version of Firefox. nope. I did end up going into Tools, options, content and allowing pop up for cake central. Then it started working right again. I hope that helps some one.

I too am having trouble I just cant view new cakes posted only most saved cakes today ;(

I was having troubles last week, and I am having trouble trying to get a photo in for the Animal Cake Contest.
I found a tech, and sent an e-mail.
He said I need to clear the cashe and cookies.
I assured him I tossed my cookies on a regular basis.
(I have my computer sent to empty the history.)
It kind of helped.
I am wondering if cc has gotten too big. I remember fb about 2 years ago, you'd get bumped for no reason at certain times of the evening.

I have been having problems as well. Tried for days to upload a picture and kept getting error messages.

I can get to the front page but not all the pictures open.

Maybe we each need to e-mail tech, as it is not an issue with a personal computer (deleting cookies) if it's happening to several of us.

I just spent more time trying to get back to CC. I had been reading threads and
when I went to go back to the home page all I kept getting was ''text''. I closed
out that window and had to keep trying to get back; before finally getting here
again, this is what I kept getting:
