I just got a request to do a coach purse. Ive never done one and need to figure out if I can even do one before I give her a quote. Does anyone know how you get the C's cut out , maybe a templet or something ?

Thank you, Lisa

Your best bet is to do a search for the same type of font, cut it out in cardboard and use it as a template. If you have a cricut you could probably do it directly with that.
The other option is go to the Coach website and print out a picture of the C and blow it up either on a scanner or by going to a copying place. Or if you own one get some tracing paper out and trace the sucker right on the purse!!
If you cant find it or no one has a template for you, let me know and I will copy it off my handbag and email it to you.

Here's a link for SusieLu182's coach C's

http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1222865

The Coach bag that I did has painted C's on it, using this template. So I cut the template out from computer paper, traced it into poster board, and then cut the C's out using an exacto knife, so I had a little stencil to use.

Hope that helps!! icon_biggrin.gif

I bought a set of large letter cut outs at the dollar store and cuts the ends to make them straight. They ended up looking exactly like the ones on the purse. I have a picture of it in my photos icon_smile.gif

Just a quick question . Any worries about copyright infrigement ? I assume the "C's" are on a real purse made by a company that has spent thousands of dollars to market THEIR product ? just a thought ......

Depends which pattern you want...i got the new Coach C effect with 2 circle cutters - one larger than the other. Then cut out a small piece to create the C. I found it best to let the fondant dry a little before trying to pick them up and put them on the cake.

I know I've seen the other Coach C tempate for the signature pattern in the templates here on CC.
