I'm sure most of you will think this is a silly question, but I figured I'd ask before I tried it. If you double a box cake mix is it the same ratio just double?
I usually mix 1 box at a time w/ a hand held mixer but when I'm making cakes that require more than 1 box to fill the pan it would be much easier to double them up & use my kitchen aid (what speed on a kitchen aid & how long do you mix??) any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

Yes, you can double, triple mix boxes. Whatever fits in your mixer. Follow box directions times 2 or 3 depending on how many mixes you are using. Be sure to scrape down the bowl well since alot of the dry will get stuck down bottom of the bowl. Mix until well combined.

I mix two almost every time. I pretty much follow the directions. Mix on low(1 or 2) to get the ingredients mixed. Then med high (6) for two to four minutes depending on the mix directions.

The 11x15 pans take two exactly.
