For those of you who rent kitchen space that others own (such as church kitchens, etc.) ... where do you keep your finished cakes until delivery? I am starting to write a business plan and would like to approach a few churches in my town about using their kitchens. However, I am wondering about where to keep finished cakes as well as things that I may be working on (i.e. gumpaste flowers, etc.) without worrying about other people messing with them?

There in lies the problems with renting a kitchen. When I first started out I rented a kitchen from a caterer friend of mine. She alloted me minimal frig space. I had to tote my stuff back and forth. It truly was a headache. But it was worth it to get a start. My business grew and now I have my own commercial kitchen which we built onto our home. Good luck.
